Summit of Ermei

The scenery was breathtaking at 3099meters above sea level and the chinese call it a buddhism resort. The 4 faced GuanYin was magnificiently majestic, the white palace looked like it was covered in snow and there's also a Golden Building called the "Jin Ding" (loosely translated: Golden Peak).

Photos of the dining hall at Tai Zi Ping Monastery.

The nite before, we found lodging at Tai-zi-ping monastery, we had a warm simple vegetarian meal at their vegetarian cookhouse. There was a small administrative charges for the accommodation and food, but it was worth the money. We were given a room with 3 beds where benny and stuart had to squeeze in one bed (Jackie and Weipeng managed to snooze very comfortably in theirs while poor Benny nearly vomitted from the "squeeziness" and Stuart was tossing the whole nite and had a bad headache the next morning). Each bed had a heater and 2 blankets. We were given hot water flask with water. Now, this is essential cause it was so cold at night.

Pictures of the sun rise there after. Watch this space. Going off to book train tickets to Beijing. (Update: Train tickets to Beijing booked. Will take us 25hours on a hard sleeper bed to arrive in Beijing from Chengdu. We will be leaving on 13th May 11:33am. Tix costs S$82. Gonna be a longgggg journeyyyy...)
